Welcome to the Rising Stars Workshop, where young talents in kindergarten through fifth grade embark on an exciting journey through the world of musical theater! In this engaging class, students not only learn the fundamentals of singing, acting, and stage presence but also develop valuable rehearsal and performance skills.
As the semester draws to a close, families and friends are invited to witness the culmination of their hard work—a dazzling cabaret performance of “Along the Yellow Brick Road: Songs From Wicked and the Wizard of Oz.” Join us as these rising stars take center stage, capturing hearts with their talent, enthusiasm, and love for the performing arts!
This class will be held at Black Rock Theater’s studio at 63 Unquowa Road in Fairfield.
Saturdays 10:00-11:30
Class Dates: 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 12/6, 12/20 (10:00-11:00 rehearsal, 11:00-11:30 Show).
Recommended Class Pairings: It is recommended that Rising Stars Workshop is paired with other Level 1 classes for students in grades K-2 and other Level 2 classes for students in grades 3-5.
Required materials: Comfortable clothes and shoes for movement, binder, pencil, highlighter.
Prerequisite: No experience necessary, but please note that this class required weekly practicing at home!
